This suggestive name is in fact a very old expression used by winegrowers in the Beaujolais region during the harvest. The grapes were said to "pisse dru" when they reached maturity meaning that they were bursting with juice.

This saucy expression was chosen in 1955 when the first bottles were marketed. This brand's image shares that of Beaujolais wines: simple, pleasing, enjoyable and convivial.

First sold in Canada, the PISSE-DRU brand was then marketed in France.
Still available in Canada, the brand is now particularly famous in France and delights lovers of Beaujolais Nouveau.
