Patriarche Père et Fils has 3 production sites, each dedicated to a specific activity.
Our main cellar has a storage capacity of 120,000 hectolitres. This is where the firm's branded wines, vins de pays, and appellation contrôlée wines from Burgundy, Beaujolais, and the Côtes du Rhône are received, aged, and prepared for bottling.

These wines are then taken to another facility for bottling, the first site in France to obtain the both ISO 9002 andHACCP certification.
This site is equipped with the latest technology, and wine is bottled there under the best possible conditions. Thanks to four assembly lines, our total capacity is 8,500 - 12,000 bottles per hour. We use traditional glue for labelling, as well as self-adhesive labels.
The most prestigious wines are bottled in the Patriarche cellars, where they are stored in the dark at a cool, regular temperature.

Thanks to our two quality control laboratories, we can monitor our wines at all times. >> next
[ Glossary ]

Bottle : A traditional bottle holds 75 cl. A magnum contains the equivalent of 2 bottles, a jeroboam 4 bottles, rehoboam 6 bottles, mathusalem 8 bottles, salmanazar 12 bottles, balthazar 16 bottles, and nebuchadnezzar 20 bottles.

Vintage : The weather during the growing season, especially during the harvest, leaves an indelible impression on the wine, affecting bouquet, structure, richness, etc. Connoisseurs recognise subtle nuances in each vintage, and refuse to dismiss a wine just because of the year.

Must : This is another name for grape juice, fresh from the press, which has not yet begun to ferment.
